RACE CAPPED AT 500 RUNNERS
The 8.7 mile course w 3,610' ft of climbing starts at Tram Plaza base area, begin running on service road along the creek for approx half mile reaching Creekside base area, then the uphill beings. Climb towards Mid-Gad chair, then head east onto Rothman Way, connecting you to steep Peruvian service road on Peruvian Gulch Trail. Turn onto the Ridge trail feel the burn in your legs with large sweeping views of Snowbird’s Cirque & Mt. Baldy. Take the Cirque Ridge up to Hidden Peak with expansive views of the entire Wasatch Range. Catch your breath, loop around the backside of Hidden Peak & make your way down to Gorilla Pass service road & head up to the Summit of Mt. Baldy via singletrack, the highest point in the race.
Make your way down a steep & technical section of trail, before a technical boulder traverse, being sure to save enough energy for one more uphill section to the refreshing shade of Snowbird’s Ski through Tunnel. Now a downhill on service roads connecting to Peruvian Gulch singletrack, bringing you back into the Finish Line at Snowbird Tram Plaza where you started.
SAFETY LANGUAGE
The course is the most direct route to the high alpine, it is steep, but intuitive, you will be pushing hard for the summit, putting yourself to your capacity, lungs, grit, and strength. Please note, we will have the course well marked, it is imperative, for your safety, you follow precise path of flagging. If you kick a rock loose, immediately yell 'rock' to notify fellow competitors you have kicked a rock loose. If you are further down the course and you hear, 'rock!', please do not look up, please turn your back and protect your head. Careful footwork, look out for the safety of yourself and fellow competitors equally. Please be mindful of other competitors, if you encounter an inured competitor please inform the nearest course Marshall, EMT or Snowbird Patrol along the route. Course is well marked with orange flagging, if you suddenly find yourself on a path without immediate orange flags to indicate the route, please turn around, go back the way you came until you get back on trail with orange flags.

**Every competitor is subject to a strict cut-off time, at Hidden Peak summit (top of tram), of 2 hours (competitor will take tram back down)
